MR.RICHARD SAVIMBI
Email: richard_sav@post.cz
(Usual bullshit:- dead relative, mega$$$$$, etc, etc)
Hello,
Since, you do not know me and we have never had any personal contact.
Firstly, let me start by introducing myself properly to you. My name is Richard Savimbi cousin and Personal Assistant to Jonas Malheiro Savimbi, the leader UNITA (National Union for the Total
Independence of Angola). I got your email address from network directory. I apologize if I have infringed on your privacy.
You maybe aware, that my Uncle(Jonas Malheiro Savimbi) was killed on friday 22nd February, 2002 in a battle with the government troops of Angola, led by President Dos Santos. Now Mr. Antonio
Dembo and General Paulo Lukamba who were my Uncle's second in command, has assumed office as leader of UNITA. In spite of this, UNITA is like a herd of cattle without
shepherd. Prominent members like Carlos Morgado are still lobbying to oust them and assume office as leaders, just to enrich themselves and some of them who see me as a threat to their ambitions, including General
paulo lukamba, are planning to kill me.
However, I am a young man who has ambitions and I am not in any way interested in wars, this is why I secretly left Angola for the United
Kingdom(UK) to seek asylum.
Besides, I am using this correspondence to seek and request your assistance and cooperation in a sensitive but highly beneficial financial arrangement. Prior to the death of my uncle, himself and I deposited a huge amount of money in a security company's vault overseas. The total money deposited with the security company is sixteen million united states dollars(US$16,000,000.00) The funds were arranged into boxes before deposited with the security company But, the security
company did not know that the boxes contain money. The boxes were declared to contain family treasure and valuables. The fact that my uncle is Dead and we continue to accumulate huge debts daily as long as this boxes remains in the security company's vault, made me decided to get a partner to proceed as soon as possible to receive these funds for investment purpose. As a young man, i plan to use this money to safeguard my future. It is very essential that you understand the kind of trust and confidence I want to put in you. This is an act of desperation on my part, in order not to loose this money. For your reliable assistance, if willing, I will reward you with 25% of the money.
As soon as you declare your willingness to assist, I shall furnish you with the details and information you will need to accomplish this task. Please, be rest assured that this arrangement is absolutely risk free And cannot implicate you in any way. However, I implore you to handle this matter with
urgency, utmost secrecy and confidentiality for security and safety reasons, even if you do not intend to execute the project.
Thank you in anticipation for your assistance in enabling me achieve this goal. Please contact me whether or not you are interested in assisting me. This will enable me scout for another partner in the event of non-interest on your part.
Yours sincerely,
Richard Savimbi

Richard
Yes I would be extremely interested in assisting you. More details please.

14 July 2003
Dear Bollocks,
Thank you for your positive response to my proposal. I hope you are fully aware of the confidential nature of this transaction and also of the implication of its knowledge to those outside this partnership before its successful completion due to the source of these funds and also my position with the Angolan goverment.
Having understood my intention to transfer the funds to you for investment(with reference to my letter) in the best and most secured way putting into consideration my present situation, it is imperatively necessary that I educate you on how I intend to carry out this transaction.
My goodfriend the fund in question was deposited by my uncle and I in the early part of the year 2001,for safe keeping as the war in Angola intensified.I must state here again that the security
company does not have the true knowledge of the contents of the boxes.
What has to be done is to change the ownership of the deposit/consignment to your name so that you can take possession of it, in doing this we shall make a deed of transfer which will official transfer the ownership of the deposit/consignment to you. Please note that after the change of ownership you will have to travel from you country to where the security outfit is to claim the consignment in person.
I shall need you to urgently forward to me the following to me infomations to me so I can arrange for a deed of transfer to be prepared as soon as possible.;
1, Your full names
2, Contact address
3, Your phone and fax numbers
4, Any form of Identification
As soon as I have these information the deed of transfer will be prepared and sent to you for endorsement and and sent to the security company who thereafter notify you to come forward and
claim you consignment.
Sir, please note that if we work hand in hand with 100% commitment as partners,it should not take more that 5 working days to conclude this whole process.
I await your urgent response
Yours faithfully,
Richard Savimbi

20 July 2003
Dear Richard
Glad you received passport OK.
You ask what I do for a living - I'm a sort of farmer. I raise freshwater bearded clams in a large lake. There's an extremely good market for bearded clams here. People can't seem to get enough of them so there's always something for me to do. Apart from eating them you can, with a little effort, turn them into drinking goblets - hence the expression "Drinking from the Furry Cup". Do you have bearded clams in Angola? If not I might see about sending some across so that they can be bred there.
I don't know what advice I can give you on investments - my whole life has been devoted to the bearded clam and I don't know much about other sorts of business but, of course, I do have friends with experience in other
types of venture and I am sure we can get you sorted out one way or the other.
Got to go now it's time to go and feed the little blighters.
You can read all about
them on this website
(Nothing like a website to convince Mugus that you're
genuine - and it's very informative)
Hear from you soon.
Regards
Loadof

I've had an e-mail from the security company in Holland and, amongst other things, they're asking for all documents relating to the claim and €28,618. They also need a copy of my passport but I can send that obviously.
What documents do they need? Do you have them and if so can you either send them to the security company or forward them to me so I can send them.
I must say too that the handling and delivery charges look a bit on the high side - were you aware that they were going to be so high?
Please reply as soon as possible.

Richard
Thanks for your letter.
I thought that the terms had already been agreed and I have no reason to change my mind now. You can go ahead and ask your lawyer to prepare everything as stated in your letter.
I can't see how I can advise the security company of a date for me meeting them unless I have the documentation that they require to hand. When I have copies of these from you I can travel to Holland with only 2 or 3 days notice.

25 July 2003 (Documents arrive with no message)

Hope to hear from you soonest.

27 July 2003
Richard
Many thanks for all the documentation. I think that these are all that are needed by the security company.
I will get in touch with my travel agent tomorrow and make arrangements to fly across to Holland to meet with the security company.
I'll also have to go to the bank to make arrangements to withdraw money for the demurrage charges.
Probably best if I contact the security company before making the booking to see what day would be most suitable.
Gosh this is all so different from raising bearded clams. I'm not used to dealing in high finance but I suppose, after the handover takes place, I'll become more used to it. I can hardly believe that I'll shortly have $4million - that's a fortune!
It almost tempts me to stop with the bearded clams but I think not - when you've devoted your life to one venture then it would be a tremendous wrench to completely stop. But with the money I think I'll try and breed a new variety - the trouble with bearded clams is that they don't always smell too good and with some people it's an acquired taste whilst others never get used to it. I'm sure that if I managed to breed a new strain of sweet-smelling ones the market would be even bigger.
The $4million will ensure that a sweeter smelling clam will be on the market within about 15 months and then virtually everyone will be drinking from the furry cup.
Thank you Richard for giving me the opportunity to share in your wealth. I won't let you down.
Regards

Dear Mr Savimbi
It is with regret that I have to advise you that Loadof died suddenly early yesterday morning. He had been advised by his doctor some 6 months ago to take things a little easier as he suffered from extremely high blood pressure after years of deep diving.
Loadof seemed to be taking his doctor's advice but became unusually excited over the last few weeks and it was if he had taken on a new lease of life.
He had booked a flight to Holland and withdrawn a large amount of cash which he put in his briefcase. The night before he died he told me that it wouldn't be long before he would be quite wealthy so at least he died a happy man.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday 6th August - if you would like to attend and show your respects you will be welcome.
Yours sincerely

Dear Sir,
Oh! What a shame to the devil. I am sorry for the demise of Mr. Bollocks and please accept my sympathy.
As regards the fund belonging to Mr. Bollocks, could you please advice us on the next step to take?
Do you wish to conclude this transaction on his behalf?
(and is that briefcase still full of money?)
I do need your urgent response to the above issues.
Thanks.

August 2003
Dear Mr Savimbi
What a dreadful few days it has been
since Loadof passed away.
I never realised before how much
needs to be arranged when someone dies. The doctor had to issue a death
certificate and I've spent hours with the funeral director making arrangements
for next Wednesday.
Loadof told me he felt unwell on the
night before he died and I said that he should cancel his trip but he insisted
on going as he felt that he would be letting Richard down if he didn't go. I've
now had an opportunity of looking through his mail box and seen the
correspondence that you had together so I'm assuming that you are the Richard he
didn't want to disappoint.
Loadof was always like that - he
hated disappointing people and would go out of his way to help anyone.
I've attached a cutting from
yesterday's local paper - they didn't use one of the better photos of him.
Mr Savimbi I've had an e-mail from
Juni Grandi from the security company asking me if I wanted to finish the
transaction on Loadof's behalf. Would that be alright with you and what about
all the paperwork that's in Loadof's name?
Please let me know.
Yours sincerely
Jenni Tulworts (Miss)
3 August 2003
Dear Mr Grandi
I really don't know whether Mr Savimbi will want me to become involved in the transaction.
I have mailed him and asked whether he would approve or not.
As soon as I have heard from him I will let you know.
Yours sincerely
Jenni Tulworts (Miss)
4 August 2003
Dear Jenni,
It's with a heavy Heart that I write this email, sincerely I find it so difficult to believe that my Friend Loadof is dead. I often wonder why life tends to be unfair sometimes. I couldn't access my email for days that was why I didn't email you back immediately, infact I was opening the email with good feelings in my heart that I'll hear a good news from Loadof. oh God Why? why would this happen?
I'm very sorry but I can't write much for now, My heart is heavy..
Richard..
4 August 2003
Dear Jenni,
How are you?, how are you going on with the burial arrangements?, well I could not really talk about this earlier on, with a heavy heart I could not read much of your mail when I saw the attachment, please just bear with me.
I wrote the security company about my friend's PEACEFUL depature, in their reply some minutes ago,I was informed that you have contacted them already and also informed them likewise, that was thoughtful of you.
Well regarding completing the transaction on loadof's behalf,I think there is no problem with that, well the security company has also informed me that would only be possible if I give approval for that.
So, since you are sure handling it, I would like you to make available the following information so I can effect some changes in respect of the documents especially those in loadof's name.
Fullnames, Contact/Residential Address,International Passport and any proof of partnership existence between you and Loadof.
Please also attach a copy the death certificate so I can send to the security company in addition to other documents I have to provide to effect the necessary changes required.
How is the family coping also, please ensure a befitting burial ceremony for my friend. There are very few good men like Loadof...
MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE. AMEN.
I hope to hear from you soonest.
Richard.
6 August 2003
Dear Jenni,
How are you today?, I hope all is going on well with you and the family. I have decided to write you this morning to apologise on my behalf my family for our inability to attend the burial ceremony of my late friend Mr. Loadof Bollocks of Blessed memory.I would have love to hear from the family also and wish I could be with them at a moment like this since I have once felt this way before in my life, I pray God should give the family the fortitude to bear the loss. Amen.
So, I still await the information I requested for in my previous mail to enable me effect those changes as regards the documents to permit your continuation with the transaction. As a matter of urgency, accumulation expenses and debt kindly let me know when these information will be made available to me.
I need to hear from you more often than now so we can have a good update of the proceedings at home and abroad.
My wife specially sends her regards.
I hope to hear from you soonest.
Richard.
6 August 2003
Dear Richard
Thank you for your kind thoughts and those of your wife; they are really appreciated.
Everyone has left now and I've never felt more alone in my life - there's nothing left to do.
I suppose the last few days since Loadof died I've been so busy arranging everything for the funeral that I really haven't had time to think about life without him but now I'm here on my own.
The service was well attended - Loadof had many friends here in the village - and the vicar was very kind to everyone.
After the service we went to the crematorium where Loadof's body was taken. It was his wish that his ashes should be scattered on the lake where he spent so many happy years doing the job he loved best. A few of his friends and I are going to scatter them on Saturday at mid day and hold a little remembrance for him.
I don't believe that you had known Loadof for a very long time - if you had you would have loved him. He was one of life's gentle people who didn't have an enemy in the world. Sometimes his good nature was taken advantage of by other people but he was always prepared to believe the best of his fellow man and never harboured a grudge. His great pleasure was in raising his clams and he was so passionate about his work that his enthusiasm carried across to anyone who was listening.
Loadof was much more than a business partner to me. Although he was a lot older than me he had a young free spirit and we grew to love each other. We were to be married in September with a honeymoon in the Caribbean. People were always asking me if I wasn't concerned about our age difference but Loadof was usually full of energy and vitality and I've never met another man like him. He had to slow down a little recently after the doctor advised him but all of a sudden the spark would re-ignite and he'd be acting like a teenager.
Loadof had no other family; he did have an older brother but he passed away 2 years ago and the parents both died within weeks of each other about 9 years ago.
I must stop now Richard, 2 of my close friends have arrived to take me out for a meal and stay the night at their house - I didn't feel as if I wanted to be on my own tonight and they have been really kind and sympathetic- as has just about everyone.
I'll be in touch with you shortly. Thank you once again for your condolences.
Yours sincerely
Jenni
7 August 2003
Dear Jenni,
I must confess that I am short of words at this moment, infact we could feel your pains, loneliness, please you have to take things easy 'cause it will do us no good if anything happens to you at a time like this.Try and get yourself occupied with something reasonable, this is about the best way to forget about somethings for now.
We are shocked at the knowledge of your relationship with my friend, We never knew you were more than just a business partner, God!,do you mean you were going to get married in september?,please Jenni don't be mad at us 'cause we may be asking too much questions from time to time, infact, we are very sorry about it all.
My wife suggested she comes around on friday and probably spent sometime with you but I don't know how this will be possible for security reasons, I hope you will understand.
Like I have always believe and say sometimes Loadof an exceptionally nice man, my little girl calls him DADA form the time I showed her the photo he sent to me.
Please extend our appreciation to all the friends of Loadof, especially your friends and the vicar of the church for all his efforts.
I hope you don't always take what people say, even after now always follow your heart at all time.
Please Jenni try and put yourself together, you know we have to give glory to God for all that has happened and continue living, We believe his soul is resting in the bossom of the Lord.
Jenni we will talk to you tomorrow, take care of yourself. Always remember that you are always in our thoughts and prayers.
Know that Loadof never existed but he lived...
Richard & Helen
9 August 2003
Dear Jenni,
How are you today, I suppose you are putting yourself together now?. Well it's unfortunate I can't make the todays ceremony as I'm sure you will understand the reason why. Today should not be a day that you'll spend crying but giving God Thanks for the kind of life my dear friend lived.
I want you to know that I always have you in mind and I pray for at all time,So I hope you are still having the support of those that have always been there for you all this while, how is the Vicar and your other friends, tell me about them in your next mail just to lighten yourself up a bit.
Please I still want to know about when I'll get the informations I requested from you to enable prepare the Documents for your Trip to Holland. Sincerely Jenni, Life is becoming so unbearable for me down here and to make matters worst, the demurage on the consignment in the security company is increasing, I really don't want a situation whereby we cannot meet up with the fees to clear up everything. Please My sister, I know what you're passing through, I can feel your pains and I do understand but kindly assist me out here.
I await your email with the particulars I requested and let me know when you'll be travelling to Holland.
My fondest regards and I look forward in meeting with you..
Lots of Thoughts,
Richard..
10 August 2003
Dear Richard
Thank you for your two letters - your thoughts are a comfort to me.
Yesterday at 12 o’clock we had a little ceremony at the lake. There were quite a few of us, our two clam divers and about fourteen of Loadof’s closest friends. We stood at the end of the jetty and scattered Loadof’s ashes on the lake and the vicar was kind enough to come along and say a few prayers for Loadof’s soul. The ashes stayed for quite a while on top of the water and then slowly sank to the bottom.
I feel now that there will be a little bit of Loadof in every bearded clam that lives in the lake. The weather was perfect and I now feel less lonely than before, knowing that everytime I have a bearded clam Loadof will be nearby.
Our two clam divers have been very supportive and have told me not to worry about the business; they’ll keep on doing the job, diving into the deeps to harvest the little delicacies. I’ll concentrate on satisfying our customers and finding new ones so the business that Loadof’s grandfather started will continue.
About going to Holland, well Loadof’s briefcase is still in the house with a lot of Euros in it so I suppose it’s just a case of contacting Mr Grandi and arranging a day. Do you think that the bills will have gone up much since Loadof was due to meet him?
Please let me know what you think is best.
Thank you again for your kind messages.

Dear Jenni,
I received your email and sincerely I must confess it's nice hearing from you. I really wish there's much I could do to help issues but then someday, I'll be able to express my greatfullness and appreciations you showed all these while. I still feel the pain of my dead friend, you know, it look like I've known him all my life.
As regards this issue of my consignment in Holland, first of all, send me the particulars I requested from you in my previous emails so that the necessary changes can be made. But I'll need you to go ahead and contact Mr Grandi and find out more informations from him but I know the bill must have gone up.
I'll like you to tell me more about yourself in your next email to me and when you'll leave for Holland to clear my Consignment. let me ask you something Jenni, How old are you? what's your plans after we've cocluded this matter because you'll still keep the share we agreed that will go to my Late Friend, Loadof.
Well I expect to hear from you soonest including the particulars I asked you to send to me.
Thanks for everything and I wish you all the best..
Fondest Regards,
Richard..

Dear Richard
Thank you for your letter and kind thoughts.
I’m feeling much more positive today; the divers have really rallied round and I must concentrate now on carrying the business on.
You asked if I could tell you a little bit about myself. I’m 30 years old and have been a partner with Loadof since 3 years ago. There was a crisis with the business
due to an infection called clamidia that wiped out all
the bearded clams and Loadof nearly went bankrupt. I’d known him for some time and trusted him so I said I would lend him £40,000 to restock the lake with fresh clams. Loadof wouldn’t agree to borrowing the money but insisted that I become a full partner with him. I didn’t realise then how generous he was being. Within a year the lake was fully stocked and we were harvesting the clams again in even bigger numbers and I got my £40,000 back within 18 months from the profits. This was all due to his expert knowledge of their breeding habits and how best to encourage their growth.
Loadof’s dream was to produce a more fragrant bearded clam and I think he was going to use the money from your transaction to start the process. He often talked about it with me and his ideas were very simple and sound. His theory was that the clams would be more fragrant if they were moved on a regular basis so that they didn’t stay too long in the same place where they were passing out waste matter. In other words move them to cleaner water to keep them fresher. He’d done some small experiments and it certainly seemed to work so the next step was to do it as a full scale operation. I want to carry on Loadof’s dream for him and will be able to with the share of the transaction.
I’ve checked Loadof’s briefcase and he had put €30,000 in it (enough for the security company and a little bit left over for any other expenses in Amsterdam) I’ll contact Mr Grandi and ask whether that will still be enough.
As you asked I’ve attached my passport and a copy of Loadof’s death certificate. My address is the same one you had for Loadof
Do you have a photograph of you and your family you could send me - it would mean so much to me at this time.
I’ll let you know what Mr Grandi’s reply is.
Thank you again Richard for your kind wishes and support - it really does mean a lot to me.
Jenni

Dear Sir, (doh)
Good to know of your planned trip tomorrow, and I believe the 12:00 noon flight time is most appropriate, as it will give me ample time to make all the necessary arrangements for a hitch-free delivery. Please note that your consignment has been uploaded from our underground facility to surface level for effective delivery.
On your arrival the protocol officer will meet with you and bring you to the venue for the clearance of your consignment. It is very important that you call me as soon as you arrive, so that we can know your exact location in the Airport.

Dear Sir (doh)
The protocol officer that will be picking you is a well experienced male, Mr. Sydney Barnes, he is dark in complexion and is Surinamese. He shall be wearing a grey
suite, (
would that be a 2 seater or a 3 seater I wonder) white shirt and red tie. He shall be waiting for you in front of the jungle
bar (how appropriate), which is directly opposite your arrival terminal.
Please do not worry about your security, as well as your safety. As all has been properly arranged and it is very safe.
See you tomorrow.
