I got your contact from the internet and decided to send my proposal to you, I am Muyiwa IGE the first son of the late chief BOLA IGE the attorney general of the federal republic of Nigeria who was killed by hired assasins on the 23rd of december 2001 by yet yo be unidentified gun men believed to be linked to the present government. Two months before he was eventually killed there was attempt on his life but fortunately God speared his life for us, it was after this attempt that he had to reveal some vital informations as regards his life to me before he was finally killed in December 23rd 2001 All accounts belonging to my father both local and abroad had been frozen and his investments seized by the government believing in thier false allegation that he made away with $2 billion dollars of National Electricity Power Authority of which I know is just a ploy to eliminate him by the people in power that he is fustrating thier evil intentions through the human right pubic hearing for violation of right and cruelsome killings during the military regime to carry out thier plans to remain in power against the will of the masses for thier selfish interest instead of the interest of the nation. Two weeks before christmas holiday in 2001 being on the 4th of December my dad spoke to me at lenght about life and its realities, He told me he deposited a trunk box containing nine million five hundred united states dollars(us$9.5m) with a Security and Finance Company overseas with the intention of retrieving it himself before he was eventually killed. According to him the content of the box was registered as film and photographic materials with his influence and was moved out of my country through a special diplomatic courier. In the light of the above and based on the fact that I am next of kin I am now contacting you as a foreigner to assist me in retrieving the boxes and subsequently deposite of the funds into your foreign account My mother and I have agreed to give you 30% of the fund for your assistance and 10% for any expenses you might incur in the course of this transaction we want to believe that you will not sit on the money when paid into your account I want you to understand that there is no risk involve as we have worked out modalities for the smooth actualization of this goal will require the following for effecting the documents of claim and identification Your private telephone and fax Your contact address I wish to state here that we are left with nothing as we survive by the grace of God I hope you understand our predicament so as to save me and my family from hopeless future Waiting your urgent response Best regards Muyiwa IGE

22 April 03

Dear Muyiwa
How fantastic!
This has come at just the right time for us as we do need money to refurbish the children's hostel which I run here in England.
We call it Chateau 14 which is a little joke as it's nothing like a chateau but is a sprawling Edwardian house which is home to anything between 8 and 11 poor orphaned and abandoned children. We are currently suffering because part of the roof has collapsed and when it rains 2 of the children's bedrooms are totally unusable. As you can imagine, even when it doesn't rain the rooms are still damp from any previous downpour.
The new roof work is estimated to cost £24,000 and so far we've only got £14,300 saved up for the work so you can see how fortuitous the timing of your missive is.
Please let me know what to do next.
Yours sincerely
Owen Lotts

23 April 03

Dear Owen,
I must appreciate your acceptance of my proposal and for giving it a serious attention. No doubt, you have made an informed decision with the information available to you and without having second thoughts about the wisdom of your decision.
Unfortunately, I don't always get to bring good news such as the ones I am bringing you, to all the women and men that I come across everyday and believe me,
Today, Luck is giving you a priceless gift as you get the chance to change over your entire existence. If you turn down the friendly hand I am stretching towards you, I'm afraid another opportunity like this won't come along any time so soon.

I have no fear that all we go well and that my portion would be delivered to me when the business if eventually completed. consequently, let's avoid the temptation of personal interest, greed and dishonesty in this project of mutual benefit.

I am highly confident that if you play your part well at this period, at the end, we will raise our heads high for what we have been able to achieve.

Lest I forget, I must implore you to exercise the most ultmost indulgence to keep this matter extraordinarily confidential. Please fill the form and return it by email. It is reguired due to past experience. If youhave any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Best wishes for this venture.

Muyiwa.

23 April 03

Dear Muyiwa
Thank you for your kind message.
I'm still in a state of shock and joy - to think that soon we can finally get the roof fixed and that the children will have a safe and comfortable environment. This is indeed a gift from heaven. I would like you to meet the children soon - did I mention that they are all  handicapped? It's unfortunate enough being an orphan at an early age (as you know) but to also have to cope with severe physical disabilities is something that the poor kids are learning to live with. They are all lovely little characters and for the most part a cheery bunch. I did talk to them all last night and said that we would be able to have the roof re-tiled sooner than expected and you should have heard them cheer!
Could you let me know what the next stage is?
Kindest regards
Owen Lotts

24 April 03

Dear Owen,

Yes, Owen, it is true and believe me in the next week, we shall have all our dreams come true.

I know very well what you can say by reading this letter: you think, one more time, that all this is yet only one dream and that nothing good will occur at the end. No, there is going to be a significant achievement at the end and for our goal to beachieved, you need to act immediately on any instruction I may give you.

As you may be aware, the consignments are already in Spain and we have You will have to go to Spain to collect them. This is very neccessary so that you can be sure of what you are doing. Consequently, the Certificate of deposit and other relevant documents will be sent to you as soon as they are ready.

You will need to have absolute confidence in and beleive that the business is risk free.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank for taking the time to read my letter.

Best wishes for this venture.

Muyiwa.

24 April 03

Dear Muyiwa
When do I have to go to Spain? Could you let me have about 3 days notice beforehand as I'll need to arrange for someone else to look after the running of the hostel.
Whereabouts in Spain? Do you know yet?
I've not travelled abroad a lot and I tend to get quite nervous as I don't speak any other languages and everyone overseas seems to speak very quickly.
Will you be there to meet me and do you speak Spanish?
Gosh I've got loads of questions running around my head at the moment but the main thing that keeps on coming back to me is that finally the roof will be fixed. It's taken us almost 3 years to save up the £14,300 that we already have towards the repairs and it was going to be at least another 2 years until we had all the money necessary for fixing it. And then, out of the blue your message arrived and we will be able to get the work done well before the bad weather starts again in the Autumn. It's the best thing that's happened for us in a long time.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kindest regards
Owen

25 Apr. 03

Dear Owen,
It's about to happen! I have seen it.Owen, in the coming days! But be careful not to discuss this business with anybody because the Federal Government of my country must not know that my father has such an amount in a security company abroad. All his money in foreign banks have all been taken by the government except this. I need this money as much as my mother and younger ones need it. Our lives and fulture depend on this money. Things are very difficult for us here. There is poverty and I can endure no longer. I went out today to see if I could get some money for my lawyer but everywhere I went, it's disappointment. Therefore, Owen, I will be very happy if you could help me get this money.

owen, as soon as my lawyer released the certificate of deposite which my father kept in his custody, I will send it to you so that you can prepare to go to Spain to collect the money but before then, I will give you the number so that you can talk to them. I believe you will not have any problem with them as I'm sure the company will have an interpreter.

I will still go out tomorrow to get the $3,700:00 which my father's lawyer requested before he released the certificate. If I can get it tomorrow, I will send it to you. So that you can prepare to go to Spain next Wednesday or Thursday. The whole project takes jsut 24hours depending on our seriouseness. Therefore, send your private fax, telephone and full name to me so that I can send the documents to you.

As soon as you confirm the receipt of the consignments, I will come immediately to London to collect my share of the money and assist you in the repair of your roof.

Luck is waiting at our doors: It threatens to not stay long. Think about all the things that my offer today includes, and the things that it can bring you and I, appreciate these things and know how to make the best of this chance! Time is ticking by, and ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE for you, Owen, so take advantage!

owen, don't you think we need to exchange information page of international passport? I believe you understand my fear.

Moreover, please, Owen, keep this mutually benefitting venture very confidential.

I am impatiently awaiting your reply and, in the meantime, I send you my most positive and heartiest thoughts.

Muyiwa.

25 Apr. 03

Dear Muyiwa
Many thanks for your kind message. I've been in a panic since yesterday as when I went to check my passport I found that it expired in January so I've had to send to the passport office for a new one. Hopefully it will be back in time for the visit to Spain. Can you be a bit more definite on the timing so that I can try and get an advance ticket which will be a bit less expensive? And where in Spain do I have to go?. Some airports are cheaper to get to than others, depending on the airline company that flies to them. You said it will take 24 hours - does that mean I will need to stay overnight?
Are you meeting me there?
It rained really hard here last night and 2 of the children's bedrooms are thoroughly soaked so it looks as though we'll be spending quite a bit of today mopping up.
If you need to send the documents to me you can fax them using (UK) xxxxx-xxxxxx - It's also the phone number.
Jamie, one of our little boys, had to be rushed to hospital yesterday as he started having fits; thankfully the doctors say he will be OK to come back to us on Monday but it's one of the things that you have to learn to cope with when you are looking after children with severe disabilities. Over the years we've had about 180 children come into the hostel, grow up and eventually leave to start their adult lives outside. It's not always been easy but it has been rewarding to be able to give them the comfort, stability and love that they had not experienced before in their little lives. Our finances here have always been small and sometimes I wonder how we manage to care for all these poor souls on the small amount of funding that we get each year from the local council. Perhaps, after the roof has been fixed, we'll be able to provide them with a few more comforts with the money that will be left over.
Sorry Muyiwa, I'll have to go now - I need to start clearing up the water damage.
Speak to you soon.
Best wishes
Owen

25 Apr. 03

Dear Owen,
Owen, please love the children without conditions  and without expectations.  God will surely reward your labour of love. Owen, I can feel the load you carry but never mind when will get the money you will definately forget you ever passed through difficult time. You will smile and the children will smile but all hands must be on desk to bring this dream to reality.
I will get back to you soo.

Please tell the children I love them.
Muyiwa.

25 Apr. 03

Dear Owen,

How are you today?. I hope you are okay. I just arrived from the office of my friend who promised to assist me with the balance of $1,500 to balance the lawyer's fee. It has been very difficut for me to get this money to be able to ge the Certificate of deposite and the power of attorney which we will need to claim the money from the security company. My friend disappointed me. However, aluta continua.

I am at the moment financially constrained. I have sold my car just to be able to raise the money and my hope has just been dashed. Things are very difficut here. Remember, Owen, I am like a shipwrecked man trapped on an island. I am on a boat throwing a rope to you. It is not the rope I wanted but you are the savior I had hoped for . Please, do not pull up anchor and leave me behind.

We need these documents to get the money but the lawyer has refused to release epecially the certificate of deposite unless the fee is paid. The certificate is the most important document if we must claim the money.

Since the dealth of my father, my life has been tangled and living is a hard experience for me. The money is the only hope I have in this world. Therefore, I will like you to support me with $1,500:00 so that we can get the documents.

Remember, Owen, this is a mutually beneffiting business wih a shared responsibility. It was my intention to get you all the funds needed in this business without you spending your money but please understand that I would not have asked you if I had the money and I would not like you to have a doubting mind because in this age and time, people deceive oneanother because of money and swindler perpetrate deception just to defraud people of their money. Let me tell you again that you have nothing to loose in trusting me  and if at the end you discovered that all I have ever told you is not so, I will be very glad to refund all the money you spent in this business.

All I want you to do Owen is to pursue our goal with a single minded devotion and hold to the conviction that it is going to be as I have told you. The money will certainly change our lives and people who have not been paying the slightest attention to us will come to us for assistance. This is my dream and I would appreciate if you can bring this dream to reality by following it with enthusiasm which is not daunted by setbacks nor whittled away by failure. Please try to give your best. No sacrifice is too much because you are going there to see the money, collect and sign all documents.

You may be experiencing a difficut time too but joy come soon and we will forget our sorrows. Our hands are already on the plough and we must not look back. I have done all I should have done to ensure that what you are doing is risk free and if you believe in yourself, if you believe in me and if you believe in God, you will not look back. We need to get this money on Monday so that you can proceed to go to Spain as soon as your passport is ready. The office is in Madrid, Spain. I will send to you the phone and the fax number so that you can contact them before you go. I will not be able to go because right now I do not have any passport. It was seized by the governmnet because they believe if I travel abroad, they will not be able to retrieve some of my father's property abroad. Therefore, I would like you to undertand why I am being careful. I would have given you my phone number but I am afraid because the Federak Government has access to every communication I make but the internet is safer.

I am waiting for your reply.

Muyiwa.

26 Apr. 03

Dear Owen,

What happened? I am yet to hear from you. If I continue to write to you, it is simply because I
need you at this time to help me get the money from the security company. Unfortunately, you seems not to believe in all I told you. I will advise you here that you give it a trial since you are not going to loose any money in supporting this business of mututal benefit. All I need from you is your assistance. I believe that with your determination to assist, success shall be ours.
Remember my friend and my brother "success is the outcome of our efforts". Success is the result of our planned efforts. It's the fruit of our efforts. It's the price for our jobs well-done. All hands on desk, we shall smile at the end but you and I need to be dedicated. I have done all I should have done and nothing I should have done is left undone. All you need is to let me know if you will be able to assist with the lawyer's fee and if not let me know so that I can apply for a loan. If it seems I am in a hurry, it is just that I am financially constrain and for other reasons with which I will not borther you.
My friend, determine today to help me and to help yourself.
You know what you want and I am sure you know how you can get it. Look not too far my friend, here is the opportuntiy. It might not come your way again.
Therefore, I will advise that you do not let this pass you by.

Muyiwa.

26 Apr. 03

Dear Muyiwa
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you but I've been really busy with clearing up after the rain and going twice to the hospital to visit young Jamie. You'll be glad to know that the doctors say he'll be fine after a few days rest and some special medication.
Muyiwa I am not a rich man; I am a rather poorly paid council employee and the only savings I have amount to about £700 and I will need some of that for the airfare to Madrid. The only way that I can get the $1500 at this time is to borrow it from the hostel’s funding. This is very risky for me and for the children. For me because if the money is not paid back by the middle of May then the council auditors will see the discrepancy and I'll lose my job and may even be charged with theft by the police. For the children because this is the money that will feed them next month and without it they will certainly be without food for the last week in May.
I have never borrowed money from the hostel funds before and I feel uneasy about doing it now. The only justification I can see is that the roof tiles will be fixed this year rather than in 2 year's time.
How long do you need the $1500 dollars for? Do I have to pay it to the security company in Madrid? Will I be able to collect enough money in Madrid to pay back the hostel fund by the 16th of May? If not the loss will be seen by the auditors and the children will go hungry and I don't want either of these things to happen.
Please let me have the answers to these questions as I am desperately seeking reassurance that if I borrow the money I am doing it for the right reasons and that no-one will suffer because of my actions.
Kind regards
Owen

28 April 03

Dear Owen,

Thank you for your message. I have been having sleepless night since the last time we exchanged email. I was worried because I did not hear from you until now.
Owen, I want you to forget about your prsent condition and look forward to a bright and  better life. I promise you will not regret you did anything with me.
I am sure that very soon you will leave your present job to start a new life, a life where money will no longer be problem, a life of comfort and relaxation. All you need is to have faith. You got up this morning and pressed the ligh switch - you had faith that the electricity would come through. You turned on the faucet and took a drink of water - you had faith that the city authority had made it fit for drinking so you did not analyze it yourself. You took the litlle Jamie to the doctor . You knew nothing about the medecine he gave him but you had faith that Jamie would be okay soon. Now you are undertaken a business you have never done before. Let me ask you, do you have faith? If you have faith, you will not be complaing. you would have borrowed the money and sent it to me. Let me tell you this, I know what I want to get and I know how to get it but financially, I am constrained that's why I asked you for the US$1,500. I have spent over US$10,000 to the security company so that we would not be required to pay any money at delivery. You will only need to go there with the certificate of deposit and the Power of Attorney to claim the money. It was not my intention to ask you for this assistance if I had the money. The money is needed to collect the certifcate of deposit and the power of attorney. Therefore, do not hesitate to borrow this money today as time is not our friend. Let them know that you will pay this money back on or before 7th May, 2003. Please borrow the money. You know what is involved. Very soon you will not be talking of millions of dollars and not thousand. Therefore, please do not allow the little $1,500 to slow us down.

Owen, I did tell you in one of my emails that my international passport is not in my possession. I have just spoken with a friend who will help me collect the money. Therefore, I would like you to send the money to him. Bellow is his name.

NAME: OLADUGBA OLADAYO OLAYEMI
DESTINATION: LAGOS.

NOTE: SEND BY WAY OF THE EMAIL, THE CONTROL NUMBER, SENDER'S NAME AND DESTINATION WITH THE QUESTION AND ANWER TEXT.

As soon as I receive the money, I will give it to the lawyer to get the certificate of deposit and the power of attorney. Since the phone/fax number you provided is a general one, I would like you to provide a private fax number  considering the confidentiallity of the matter but if you cannot, I will send the documents to you by way of the email service. I would like you to start preparing for the journey. When you are set, I will send the company's address, phone and fax number including the name of the officer in charge. Will this Thursday be convenient? I will like you to prepare your mind for  Thursday or Monday. Remember, you have to pay back the money you borrowed on the 7th of May.

Owen, I have told you before and I am telling you now, you loose absolutely nothing by trusting me. I know your present conditions, the sorrow, the injustices and perhaps the hardship. All these are temporal. Believe me, very soon you will forget them and you will be grateful first to God, then to me. As we travel through life, we will all go through bad experiences. But we don't need to let the bad experiences prevent us from being what we should be. Let us give life a second chance. Very soon, you will see more than just email.
Muyiwa.

29 Apr. 03

Dear Muyiwa

Is there no bank account sort code and account number for your friend OLADUGBA OLADAYO OLAYEMI ?

I've never made an overseas transfer before but normally you have to at least know which bank the money is going to. Could you find out please and let me know.

Sorry got to dash off as it rained again last night and there's a lot of mopping up to do.

Kind regards

Owen

29 Apr. 03

Dear Owen,

Remeber, Owen, time is not our friend, we have been talking and talking yet no action. Talking will not help us what we need is action.

I am supprised that you can be asking for an account where you would transfer the money to when you know too well that here in Africa, it is very difficut to open an international bank account where you can receive money internationally. Only few people have such an account. The faster and effective way is by WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER or MONEY GRAMM. Once the money is sent, and the control number, text question and answer, sender name and destination is sent to me, it takes just 15 minutes to collect the money here. It is faster and effective. Just go out there, you will see WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER AGENT walk in and transfer the money. It is very easy.

One important thing I would like you to change is your assumpion. You think if the money is not paid back by the middle of May then the council auditors will see the discrepancy and you'll lose your job and may even be charged with theft by the police. You think this is the money that will feed children for the next month and without it they will certainly be without food for the last week in May. This is your assumption. Let me tell you, Owen, If you hold too firmly to your assumptions, you're likely to get stuck in one place. I told you yesterday that this money would be paid back on or before 7th of May 2003. Now is the time to act, for there is no other that's available to you. Yesterday cannot be changed and tomorrow is not yet here. What matters is what you're doing today, now that you have the opportunity to act. Now is when you can make it great. Waiting for the perfect time will never bring it about. The sooner you get started, the more you'll get accomplished. If I get the money today, you will definately get the documents. Then you will have to let me know when you will go to Spain. We need this $1,500. You can get this money if only you are ready. Please make it happen today. Begin right now to make it happen. There is always something you can do. There is a first step that you can take right now. Take that step, go look for a WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER AGENT AND transfer the money. We have a goal therefore work steadily and consistently toward the goal. You can achieve whatever you desire no matter what the circumstances may be. Your actions and your level of commitment have far more influence than mere circumstances. Excuses are available to you in abundance, but of what value are they? Forget the excuses. Forget about waiting for the perfect moment. Forget your fear, worry and anxiety. Now is the time to get started. Try as much as you can to send the money today. Use the information I sent to you yesterday and send this money before noon so that the lawyer can prepare the power of attorney.

I am truly counting on you.

Muyiwa.

29 Apr. 03

There's no Western Union office locally. The nearest is London, about 250 miles away.Is there any other way to get the money to you?

Regards

Owen

29 Apr. 03

Thank you for your message and for your commitment towards our collective goal.

The journey is not how far but how well. Yes, we want to get it done as quickly as possible. We also want to get it done right. Because getting it wrong and having to start over will cause a lot of trouble for you and I and that is what I am trying to avoid. You have to pay this money back on or before 7th of May. You will definately live a new life. Time will prove me wrong or right.

But please, Owen, try to put the worries or excitement about what's coming next out of your mind. Give your full attention to the task at hand. It is a task that is wort doing. I know you are commited to your work but this is more rewarding as you are going to get what you cannot get as for 40 years in service. Therefore, PLEASE, do this favour for me, go to London to send the money. This is a sacrifce and I don't believe it is too much but before then find out from people if there is anyhere in your area where you can send money but you have to be wise. You do not need to tell people what you are doing because all lizards lye on their belly but no one knows which of them is having stomarch ache. This is an africa proverb. Please try to understand.

This project is taking us too much time. It's time we have to speed up things. Slowing down will not get us anywhere. I know it will not be convenient for you but please try as much as possible to go. It is a great favor you are doing for me but remember this is a mutual benefitting venture, therefore, remember always that you are doing yourself a favor.

What have you decided to do? to go to London. Then you have taken the right decision.Look around you. Look at your life. Look at the person you've become. Are you satisfy with your present condition? If you are satisfy, please when you get the money just keep everything for me. I know you are not. I do not mean you are a poor man but what I am saying is that you need more money. You are not the person you decided to become, you are not living the life you hoped to live, my brother, think. think about the past, the present and the future. YOUR FULTURE IS BRIGHT.

Muyiwa.

30 Apr. 03

Dear Muyiwa

Just got back from London and I feel terrible - it was such a bad journey on a very crowded coach.

Well the $1500 has now been transferred to Western Union, Lagos so you'll be able to pick it up in the morning.

I hope I've done the right thing and won't regret this later but I still feel very guilty about taking the money out of the hostel funds. Please do everything possible to ensure that it comes back quickly so that no one will ever know that I've taken it.

My conscience is really bothering me on this but, hopefully, some good will come out of it and the children will be able to sleep in dry rooms again.

How soon before I have to go to Madrid? I expect my passport to be back tomorrow or Friday.

Well I'm going out now to have a few stiff drinks (something I don't normally do but it may help me get rid of this guilty feeling I have).

Best wishes

Owen

2 May 2003    (Owen's wife comes on the scene)

Dear Mr Ige
I'm Owen's wife and I'm just checking the e-mail here at the hostel.
Sorry I don't know the answers to your questions - what's it about?
Owen had a serious accident on Wednesday evening. He'd been to London and back and was very tired and seemed depressed so he said he was going to the local pub for a few drinks; I couldn't go with him as someone had to look after the children here at the hostel. Anyway as he was coming home he got knocked down by a car. Fortunately there were some people around and they managed to get an ambulance to him very quickly.
Owen is now recovering in hospital - he has a broken shoulder and lots of bruises but the doctors say that he will be able to come home on Monday.
Is there any message that I can pass on to Owen in the hospital or can you wait until he comes back here?
Yours sincerely
Margaret Lotts

2 May 03

Dear lotts,

It was with great sadness that I read the news of your husband accident. He last talked to me by way of the email service the day the accident happened. Then I sent a message. I didn't get any reply from him so I became so worried that I had to call the number xxxxx-xxxxxx unfortunately I did not get through. I tried it the second time but was received by fax. I hope it's not very serious. Please tell him to send an email to me on Monday before 10 a.m. It is very important, please.

Please tell him that my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

If Owen has a number where I can reach him directly please send it to me. It's like the phone number above is always receive by fax machine.

Muyiwa.

Dear Owen,

No matter what happens,Owen,No matter what you do,I hope that you will stay the same.I hope you'll always be you.God made you special,No one can take that away. Not even the enemy (devil) So whatever happens to you. Never forget that someone cares about you. Since I heard of the accident, I have not been myself. I feel like standing beside you to hold your hand to pray for you and to comfort you but believe me JESUS is there with you. He has never left your side.He gave up His life so that you could live. Remember also that the saints are praying for you here.

Never forget our dreams we have a dream. It's not as far away to realize, As you might think it seem. Therefore, Owen, do not Let nothing get you down. Get rid of fear, worry and self-guil. We have to get to the bottom of this venture this coming week. The devil is only trying to stop us. But he cannot because the battle has been won already. The Bible in EPH 6:12. says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The devil has already lost the battle.

Owen, can you received the money in your account? We do not have such facility here in my country. You could only receive money in your account if only the money is from within the country. If you have such an account, it will be of great advantage to us as you could direct the company to transfer the whole money to your account. This will be better considering your current  situation. You have to get back to me quickly so that we can set the ball rolling. I need the CONTROL NUMBER OF THE TRANSFER AND THE SENDER'S NAME. As soon as the money  is paid to the lawyer, I will collect the documents and send them to you by way of the email service together with the telephone and fax of the company. So when you receive them, you have to call them so that before THURSDAY, the money would have been transfered to your bank account.

I look forward to hearing from you sson.

Muyiwa.

Dear Mr Ige
Thank you for your kind thoughts. Owen is still in great pain and has been given a great deal of painkillers by the doctors.
They say that his shoulder will take about 2 months to heal but after that it should be alright. Unfortunately the bruising is more severe than I had first thought and it appears to cover most of his body, but the doctors believe that will go down over the next few days. Thank goodness he is still alive.
The hospital says that Owen will be discharged tomorrow after lunch so I will arrange to take him home at about 2.00pm.
At the moment it's difficult talking to him as the high strength painkillers that he's taking seem to send him off to sleep most of the time.
He'll need plenty of rest when he comes out and I've arranged for someone else to come in and help at the hostel: I can't imagine that he'll be fit to do anything for at least a week, and then just administrative work - he certainly won't be able to do anything physical until his shoulder is back to normal.
I'm going back to the hospital now for evening visiting - I'll pass on your good wishes to him.
Yours sincerely
Margaret Lotts

6 May 2003    (Owen is back from the hospital, but still very shaky)

Dear Muyiwa
Well I think Margaret has told you that I got run over by a car. I'm covered in bruises and have a fractured shoulder so I'm typing this very slowly with one finger. Every bit of my body hurts and every movement is a huge effort.
It was my own fault, I can't blame the car driver as I stepped into the road behind a bus without being able to see what was coming and the poor woman driver just hit me square on. I was lucky that there were a lot of people getting off the bus and someone called for an ambulance which came within about 5 minutes.
The doctors and nurses in the hospital were really good and made sure that I had plenty of painkillers. I'm still taking them every 2 hours as the pain is very severe - I've never experienced anything like it.
Sorry Muyiwa, this has taken me over half an hour to type and I need to go and get some more medication - I'll try again to e-mail you tomorrow.
Sincerely
Owen

Dear Owen,

I understand the pains you are going through. By the grace of God, you will be alright. We have not stopped praying for you and we will continue to pray for you. Did you see all the email I have sent to you?
Considering your present condition, I don't think you will be able to go to Spain but I have profered a solution but I am still trying to get those documents. Just yesterday, I applied for a loan but the bank is still assessing my property to know its worth before considering my application.  My friend went to bank to collect the money you claimed to have sent in London. They said without the control number, they would not be able to access the information. I have asked you for the control number but you kept mute on this so I am beginning to doubt your claim that you went to London to transfer the money. If I am wrong, please forgive me.

God is his infinite mercy will not disappoint me as i have done all I should in regards to this business. If the bank approve my application, I will get the documents and send them to you.

Please take a good care of yourself.

My regards to your wife.

Muyiwa.

Muyiwa

I'm disappointed in you. How can you doubt that I transferred the money?
After all the encouragement you gave me-asking me to have faith in you and in the future. How could I not be inspired and encouraged by your uplifting thoughts sprinkled with quotes from the Bible? Your concern for the children in the hostel and your good wishes for my recovery from the car accident were really touching.

You know we've only been corresponding about 2 weeks but already I feel that I have known you much longer and as you said yourself in one of your e-mails "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE ".
You also said " let's avoid the temptation of personal interest, greed and dishonesty in this project of mutual benefit" These are indeed fine stirring words which are truly inspirational. You have a rare gift for the language of persuasion and I suspect that this has been developed over many years.

Anyway, now to the answer that you have been waiting for since last  Wednesday:-

The Control Number is:-

419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419-419

The Test Question is:-

Who features on these 3 websites:-
http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~gcaselton/spam/nigerian.html

http://www.nigeria-connection.de/ige_muyiwa.html

http://www.nigerianscams.org/names_all/names_I.htm

The Answer is you Muyiwa-you're famous!

Maybe that should be infamous.
Let me let you into a little secret Mu - There is no children's hostel.
There is no Owen Lotts. There is no Margaret Lotts.
But you believed all these existed.
You were prepared to risk Owen losing his job through encouraging him to steal hostel funds.
You were prepared to let disabled children go hungry for a week.
You really are a lowlife.

I've had fun over the last couple of weeks, especially since my "trip to London to transfer the funds".
The thought of you thinking that the money was almost in your grasp and the frustration you must have felt believing that it was in the Western Union office and all you were waiting for was the Control number - Priceless!
You've provided me with equal amounts of amusement and disgust; no that's not quite true - probably more disgust than amusement.
But possibly it's taken up quite a bit of your time that you could have been spending trying to con some greedy, dim witted person out of their money so it hasn't all been in vain.
Just as a matter of interest, during the past 6 weeks I've been offered over $176 million by you and 51 others like you - quite an industry you're running in Lagos. Who needs oil?
